Pages from the Gospel

So, I'm going to be using this blog mainly as a log of my progress with various projects I'm working on. Mainly though, an illustrated version of the Gospel of Saint Mark. Here are a few pages from the beginning. The text is still roughly placed and fonted. The pages are joined, as they are meant to be viewed together. These are pages 2&3, 4&5, and 6&7. All the pages from 1 - 210 do "join" together as a scroll would, creating one long image if placed side by side.

There are three different versions of each page that I'm doing as I go along. There is the English/Chinese version shown here, there is a stand alone English version with multiple fonts, and there will be the hand written text version. Right now, I have the English/Chinese version most readily available as an example .

This is a project I've been working on for a number of years now, and it's only just gotten to a point where I'm remotely enough satisfied in the pages to start calling them a final draft. Comments are always appreciated... Click on the image for a larger view.
